Meet The Neighbours - Lewis Dimmick

Lewis Dimmick is a contemporary oil painter based in North Tyneside. He graduated with a degree in Fine Art with honours then maintained his practice privately for over a decade, only recently sharing his work with the local community through exhibitions, or you may even have found him on the streets of North Shields oil painting local landmarks with his portable easel.

Lewis says: “North Shields has everything a plein air painter could want: beautiful architecture, the river and fish quay, steep hills, monuments and greenery.

“Having painted all over the North East, the people of North Shields have been the friendliest when they find me standing with my easel, painting their town.”
