Who do we write songs for, and how does that change what gets written?
Hosted by Groundbird - the songwriting pseudonym of Northumbria University academic Richard O'Brien - this is the second in a series of events where some of the North East's top musicians will be in conversation, discussing how they think about the songs they write.T
his event features Staithe and Pete Dale of Milky Wimpshake, who between them havea wealth of experience releasing independent music, putting on DIY gigs, and writing incollaboration with community organisations. The show is free, with each act playingabout 30 minutes each, followed by an onstage Q&A discussion.
Doors will be at 5pm, with an opening song from Groundbird around 5:15, Pete Dale onaround 5:30 and Staithe at 6:15, with the Q&A starting at 7.
