Karen designs and creates distinctive handcrafted woven and embroidered beadwork jewellery from seed beads, Czech glass and hand dyed silk. Her pieces range from everyday to statement and occasion jewellery. Each piece is designed and made by hand in her North Shields home studio.

Karen says: "I love being in North Shields for many reasons - it’s been home for me now for over 20 years, I love being so close to the coast and being part of a town.

"There is so much to see and do on our doorstep in Shields - all in walking distance."
