Meet The Neighbours - Vivienne Greener

Vivienne runs Stages School of Dance, a dance and performing arts school in the heart of the cultural quarter on Howard Street. Stages has been providing children and adults with a creative outlet and helping them to build a pathway to successful careers in the performance industry for over 40 years.

They offer a range of styles of dance from the ages of 2 to 100, and regularly get involved in the community performing at local pantomimes, festivals and events.

Vivienne has worked tirelessly over the years to create a successful business and continues to train other dance teachers to gain further qualifications, many of whom have gone on to open up their own successful schools within North Tyneside.

Vivienne says: "We love being in North Shields because we are such a tight knit community.

"We have watched local children grow up to become parents, who then bring their children to dance with us. It is so rewarding to know we are providing creativity and igniting passions for generations of people living in North Shields.

"The community that we create within our dance school is so strong and we would love to expand that more into the endless creative talent that North Shields provides."
