@anthony.logiudice.dance

Anthony is a dance artist who works as a performer, teacher and choreographer, locally and internationally.

His work in North Shields ranges from rehearsing in venues, running monthly artist get-together training sessions, and facilitating a newly-established youth dance training program called @northtynesideyouthdance

He recently hosted an evening for his dance theatre work at The Exchange 1856 sharing the stage with North Shields-based group @Mouths of the Tyne Community Choir

Anthony has just secured funding from Arts Council England and partners for research into a new project in 2024/2025. ARCADIA (working title) is an exploration of England and Englishness. The funding will help deliver 27 workshops and engagement opportunities, develop international collaborations, and provide employment for 12 creative practitioners.

Anthony said: “I’ve been working in North Shields since moving here in 2019. When lockdown happened, me and a few local collaborators formed a bubble and hired out local social clubs, to keep trying to make work happen. We would dance, create music and muse on the work that we would make for the future. It was a natural fit, and has pretty much stayed the same since then. The proximity of being by the sea, and away from the city centre supports a different pace of work, and it appeals to me.”
