Meet Andrea & Neil, the faces behind the wellness brand Zenoté. Makers of handmade soaps and self-care products, created in small batches using only natural ingredients and aromatherapy blended essential oils.

They love experimenting with natural ingredients, different techniques and blending their own essential oils to create products that not only look good but have therapeutic benefits. Working with zero-waste ingredients like coffee grounds is a passion, as they get to give them a second life. This has led to a number of local collaborations with other small businesses.

Putting the environment as the heart of the business keeps them focused on how they can limit their impact on the planet and be as sustainable as possible. Their products are 100% vegan and they package everything plastic free.

Andrea and Neil said: "We are both from the North East and moved to North Shields seven years ago, falling in love with the community and its rich heritage.

"We love the hustle and bustle of the fish quay and being so close to the beaches.

"We have seen a lot of change over the last few years and are excited for the future of North Shields as more independent businesses open and the community grows."
